BIOGRAPHY
Madeline Carroll, “Maddy” or “Mads” for friends was born on March 18, 1996 and raised in Los Angeles, California. She is currently 15 years old but not your average teen. She began modeling when she was 3 years old, after she was discovered by her Theatrical agent "Wendy" in a nail shop in Sherman Oaks and soon after started her acting career.
Madeline has performed in over 50 principal role/national commercials. She has also guest-starred and performed on several TV shows and series such as "Cold Case", “Lost”, "Grey's Anatomy", “Private Practice”, "Navy: NCIS" and "Lie To Me".
In 2008, a 12-year old Madeline made her big break starring opposite Kevin Costner in the feature film "Swing Vote". She received praise from audiences all over the world thanx to her heartbreaking and charming performance. You can also spot a younger Madeline in the films "Resident Evil: Extinction" and "When a stranger calls".
Maddy’s hard work paid off which led to more bookings for 2010. In January, Madeline starred on the big screen opposite Jackie Chan in “The Spy Next Door”. Madeline also booked the lead role of Juli Baker in the Rob Reiner directed feature “Flipped”, which was released on August 27th and loved by many fans.
Currently, Madeline has two big features coming up! Mr. Popper's Penguins, an adorable family film directed by Mark Waters will be released in June. Madeline stars as Jim Carrey's daughter. Not so much later, you will be able to spot her in "Machine Gun Preacher", a dramatic story about Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing biker tough guy who found God and became a crusader for hundreds of Sudanese children who've been forced to become soldiers. Madeline plays the daughter of Gerard Butler.
